A short paddle traditionally used with the sliding stroke 'illuartaarillune paarneq'. Made of Western Red Cedar and edged with Ash. The loom is shorter than other paddles. A fun paddle for rolling, easy to manoeuvre under the water. Often used as a spare paddle. Length 79 inch. Oiled.

'Storm paddle' is a modern term for a relatively short paddle often used in the fjords of Southwest Greenland up through the 20th century. Even if the paddle type is commonly referred to as a 'storm paddle' it does not seem to have much relation to stormy weather. Fjord winds however are common in the area
